Mandy Sacs, better known for her tenure as Mandy Rose in WWE before her sudden exit, came to stardom in professional wrestling through the reality show “Tough Enough,” where the Westchester County native was known for stirring up drama and showing an inkling of the villainous bombshell that would become her sports entertainment character.
On the latest “Power Alphas,” Sacs remembered how her time on the reality show brought out a sassier side she didn’t know was within her
I became like ‘the b****’ [on Tough Enough]…I’d never been on a reality show before, it was very new to me. The girls and the guys, we gotta stir up drama, but I was never the one to stir the pot or like just be in that circle in real life… I don’t like confrontation,” Mandy said. The former WWE NXT Women’s Champion said she did her best to focus on the goal of the program. “The main goal for me was show my athleticism…so I just like worked my butt off.”
However, just doing her best to be an athlete wasn’t quite helping her stand out from the rest of the competition, and she was eventually approached to show more personality.

“Lita — Amy Dumas — and Chris Jericho one day sat me aside,” Mandy recalled. The WWE legends reassured her that her athletic gifts were being noticed. “[They told me], ‘There’s one thing you’re kinda missing…You need to bring it more. You need to bring that sass.’” Mandy was told to create drama for the reality show. “I thought it was really nice that they helped me out in that sense.

John Cena is set to call time on his in-ring WWE career and one man who he has had memorable battles with, CM Punk, has detailed the conversation he had with Cena after his announcement at Money in the Bank. Punk, who, like Cena, made a surprise appearance at Saturday’s Premium Live Event, promised to do something that Cena emphasized that he wouldn’t do after his retirement announcement: return from retirement.
“So, I text him right away and I said, ‘Don’t leave before you say hi to me.’ And he texts back, ‘Haha, have a good one tonight,’ and I immediately took that as ‘pi*s off, I’m leaving.’ I know he’s busy, he’s filming ‘Peacemaker,’ so I figured he was leaving right away. I was pleasantly surprised to run into him afterwards and I told him I’ll be the guy that drags him out of retirement, this retirement that he says he’s going to adhere to, and the final one happens that’s going to be it. Yeah, 15 years, I’ll drag him out of retirement,” joked Punk at the post-Money in the Bank press conference. The WWE star then elaborated on what the 16-time WWE Champion has meant to his career, highlighting how their careers have been linked together.
“Cena, I think, to my career, means a lot. I don’t think there’s many people in that rare air, where if you talk about my career, I feel like you have to talk about John, and [it] makes me feel proud that I think when you talk about John’s career, I think you have to talk about me. We’re married in that respect,” said Punk. Punk is proud of Cena’s career and revealed that he told the WWE legend that he’s open to having another match with him before he hangs up his boots at WrestleMania next year.

US actor and wrestler John Cena has announced he is retiring from competing in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) events. Cena made the surprise announcement to fans during an appearance at the WWE Money in the Bank event in Canada. The 47-year-old, who made his move into acting 18 years ago, said his final in-ring competition will be in 2025 as part of a farewell tour.
Cena is often regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time and achieved world champion status 16 times since joining WWE in 2001. Tonight I officially announce my retirement from the WWE,” he told fans in Toronto who reacted with surprise and later chanted “thank you Cena”. What an incredible gesture of kindness,” he replied.
Wearing a t-shirt emblazoned with the words “The Last Time is Now” and his trade mark “jorts” [denim shorts], he thanked WWE fans for “letting me play in the house that you built for so many years”. In a press conference later, he said he intended to remain part of the WWE family in some capacity despite feeling “at my end” physically.
Cena made his acting debut in 2006 when he starred in The Marine, going on to land roles in a number of big budget films including The Suicide Squad, Fast & Furious 9 and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The star has performed in WWE part-time since 2018 when his acting career took off. He made headlines this year after appearing naked, save for a strategically placed envelope, during an Academy Awards skit.

Former WWE starSylvain Grenier believes that Nick Dinsmore, who played the Eugene gimmick, could’ve been used differently in WWE.
Eugene was an intellectually disabled wrestler who had a memorable run during the Ruthless Aggression era. He was introduced as Eric Bischoff’s nephew and was a cheerful and physically capable wrestler who became a popular babyface in his three-year run.Grenier, who was also in WWE during the time, looked back on the Eugene character on “Developmentally Speaking
This guy (Dinsmore) is one of the best wrestlers WWE ever had and becomes the character Eugene. Did he do great with the character? Yeah. Could he have done more as the real pro wrestler? I think so,” said the formerLa Résistance member.
Eugene had quite a remarkable WWE career, achieving many things in his short reign in the promotion. He held the World Tag Team Championship win William Regal, a spotlight match with Triple H at SummerSlam 2004, fought Kurt Angle at SummerSlam 2005, had an in-ring segment with The Rock on “WWE Raw,” and was saved by Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania 21. But, Grenier explained how Eugene could have been a bigger success in WWE.
